Sharing one part of the upcoming “accidental” book where I tell the full story of what happened to our first child, and how God helped us through the season of what could have been a stressful pregnancy, of mourning, how things got better today, and how we can hope with certainty that tomorrow will be even brighter. 🙂
We Had a Daughter
So… I’m finally sharing this story to the world (wide web). In my old blog (which I’ve reposted here), I posted three entries about our dear Berea Dannielle, her first battle, and her second battle. I wasn’t able to publish her third battle, which eventually turned out to be her last. Brei was our first child,…
Twenty Peso Dinner and Coffee
Because our car was coded today, I rode with my brother to Jupiter Street, Makati and walked to the office. I always loved walking to the office from there, first because I find it a pleasant exercise and second because I can buy taho. 🙂
Too Good To Be True… But It Is!
My dad hosted a fun run today for the benefit of three people with cancer (a broker in his company and two relatives of his staff). For P500 registration fee, participants got a t-shirt, breakfast, and health drink, plus they can go home with the registration fee back in their wallets (or more).
Testing God: Practical Application
A lot of people we know from church is familiar with the bible verse, “put me to the test, says the Lord”. God said it, and we’re putting Him to the test through this practical application. Not that He isn’t faithful, oh He has ALWAYS been. Here’s why we’re doing this:
The Beauty of Moms
My mom is beautiful, inside and out. She has this natural beauty that glows even when she doesn’t have time to do her hair or color her brows because she’s busy helping us with our homeworks and preparing our gourmet lunch packs.
Brei’s 2nd Battle: Hemorrhage
In the same ultrasound report where we found out that the cyst was gone, our second battle began.
Brei’s 1st Battle: Cyst
I actually forgot that this happened! But while I was scrolling through the stories page of our church’s website, I came across the title, “We’re Expecting a Baby!” and clicked it. While reading through it, it sounded more and more familiar, until my name was noted in the end as the writer’s name! Oh, how forgetful!!!
Behind the Name: Berea Dannielle
When we finally confirmed that I was pregnant at 5 weeks, one of the first things I asked God for was the name He wants us to give our baby. We wanted our baby’s name to declare a certain character or purpose in life.
