Grace-Work-Grace

Grace-Work-Grace—this is one of the early insights I learned from one of my first pastors in full-time ministry. Last year, I explored hosting a dedicated site for all things productivity. Having messaged by its readers, it may have served its purpose and I think it’s time to consolidate my worlds yet again. So in the next coming weeks, I’ll post the entries here. Here’s entry 01.
Why Grace-Work-Grace
Sometimes life feels like too much work. There’s work at work, then work at home, and even work for sustaining one’s own well-being. But is this how we’re meant to carry on?
I’ve had those times. And I’ve learned again and again that survival is not the only way. The many roles we have are not burdens, but trusts given. And as we’ve been entrusted with such, we’re also equipped, as we go.
Paul understood this tension well. He was a follower of Christ and a technical expert—the best of his kind—and yet he saw everything he was as grace. Yet he worked hard. Yet in the midst of working hard, the same grace enabled him.
“But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them—yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me.”
1 Corinthians 15:10
Forty years as of this writing, and for as far back as I can remember, this has been true in my life—as it is with grace, I have simply found myself living in this truth, even before I was aware of it:
Grace begins the work.
Grace sustains hard work.
Grace completes the work.
In my GraceWorkGrace series, I share faith-rooted and research-based productivity insights and practicals to help you live—not merely survive—the full life you’ve been given. My hope is that GraceWorkGrace becomes a stewardship tool that helps you live out your roles faithfully and freely.
If anything here helps, you can support this space by subscribing, sharing this to your friends and workmates, or simply sending words of encouragement. Every note, visit, act of kindness is part of the grace that keeps this work going.
Welcome to GraceWorkGrace—let’s grow together in purposeful productivity! ✨
