Journal Prompts

Hello, world! Finished my coffee and I still don’t know where to start here! I’ve been looking for prompts to help me get started here again, but those I’ve come across with were either too self-centered or too deep in bible study. I was meaning to find something in between so that it’s simple and can get me going slowly, yet build back my writing muscles. So what’s a mommy to do before my toddler wakes up? I make up my own!

Let’s start with a once a week (or so) habit, so here’s four prompts for those of us on the same boat.

  1. What was the highest or lowest point of your week? How did this affect you and what learning can you get out of it?
  2. What is one verse or quote that has been resounding in your mind and heart recently?
  3. Talk about social media and how it has affected you in good and bad ways.
  4. What are you looking forward to this Christmas?
