The Underground Club

After more than a year from the time we lost our first child, I had a conversation with someone who has gone through a similar heart-shattering moment. I did meet some who had similar experiences and I greatly appreciate their wisdom, but theirs happened way back. It has only been around two months since our dear Berea Dannielle started dancing with her new friend, Celine Gabrielle in heaven. I came to our lunch date just wanting to listen, but it turned out to be a conversation, which I truly… enjoyed. ?  Yes, there were moments our eyes got watery, but for the most part, honestly, it was fun. It was like the two of us watched a movie that only a few people were able to watch, and finally I found somebody else who just recently watched it! From how beautiful things can make us weep to how God’s grace has been ever so abundant before and during the worst day of our lives and even now, Chrina said it right—it’s like an underground club that you won’t know existed until you’re part of it. (And it seems like this club has a thing for necklaces…) Definitely, nobody wants to join it, but if you find yourself part of the club, I tell you now that it will be good to connect with the other “members,” whether it’s been more than a year or just two months. Needless to say, I’m excited with what God is brewing, knitting lives together like this, when painful pasts become good soil for a thriving tomorrow! All this to encourage you to also subscribe to oursundaymornings.com. Lots of good stuff there. ? LLH - Pam Generic I am the author of the book, When God Could’ve But He Didn’t. I am the happy wife of my happy husband, Pao. As I write this, both of us are happily hoping for at least two more children. The paperback edition of my book will soon be out!
